Furlough shields the apps and websites you choose outside the hours you allowed them, and holds any change that would give you more time until a delay you set in advance has passed.
There is no unblock button, and that is deliberate. If it could be undone the moment you wanted it undone, it would not be doing anything.
If you need out
The way out is Apple's, not ours, and it always works: Settings › Screen Time › Apps with Screen Time Access › Furlough › off. Every shield lifts immediately and app deletion is re-enabled. Your rules are kept: turn access back on and Furlough picks up where it left off.
If a shield seems stuck
- Open Furlough and tap Settings › Re-apply enforcement now. This re-registers every schedule and re-applies shields from saved state.
- Check Settings › Activity log to see what Furlough has been doing.
- If that does not help, use the Screen Time switch above, then turn it back on.
Things worth knowing
- Windows must be at least 15 minutes. A night that runs past midnight is kept as two windows, one either side of it, and each half needs its own fifteen.
- An app cannot be deleted while it is shielded. That is intentional, and the Screen Time switch above releases it.
- Moving your iPhone's clock forward does not buy time: queued changes are held while the clock runs ahead, and released when it is set back.
- The Anchor needs an NFC tag you have paired. Everything else works without one.
- Apple's Screen Time API does not exist on the Mac. Furlough for Mac enforces on its own and is open source: build it from GitHub.
Still stuck?
Email support@furloughapp.com with what you were doing and what happened. The activity log in Settings is the most useful thing to describe.
